This was my 2nd visit to FAS after my prior visit in March for the annual inspection. This visit was the get the oil changed, tire rotation & to have the service interval light reset (due to Fairfax BMW not doing so in Jan). I appreciate that they sanitized my vehicle prior to working on it. It was determined that the front wheels were slightly out of alignment (thank you I-66 road work) and I agreed to have the alignment done while the vehicle was being worked on. Much to everyone’s surprise, whoever removed the front wheels last (I bought the car used last year and allegedly the car was only serviced by BMW) forced the screws with an air wrench and cross threaded the majority of the screws on both front tires. Jim, the manager called me immediately upon this discovery and sent me photos of the stripped screws & went into detail explaining how that happened & what the best remedy was to fix it. I obviously was not expecting this added cost but I appreciate FAS’s honesty and the fact that they were trying to amend what was done incorrectly in the first place. To be frankly honest, I am glad that FAS discovered this now instead of later since they know how to work on foreign cars very well, much more so than the BMW stealerships around here. Do not hesitate to go to Foreign Auto Service, they deserve all the accolades.
